The COP30 Asia and the Pacific Regional Brief was developed exclusively by the Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW), with contributions from WOSSO Asia and the Pacific fellows.
The Regional Brief goes beyond the general climate agenda and speaks of the crucial role of gender equality and social inclusion in climate action, particularly within the context of countries’ updated climate pledges – Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
It provides a general overview for understanding NDCs and the current developments across different countries (Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Fiji, Philippines, and Malaysia) in the region. The Brief also includes stories that highlight community-, women-, and youth-led solutions, grounding the analysis in lived realities.
