Co-Creating Transformational and Gender-Responsive Climate Adaptation in Asia and the Pacific – A Multistakeholder Dialogue

On 30 September 2025, the Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women (ARROW), the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), UN Women, and the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), through the EmPower: Women for Climate-Resilient Societies Programme, convened a Regional Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue in Bangkok ahead of the 9th Asia-Pacific Climate Change Adaptation (APAN) Forum.

Held at the UN Conference Centre (UNCC), the dialogue brought together Indigenous leaders, activists, climate experts, development partners, government officials, social movements, feminist networks, youth, and civil society representatives to co-create pathways toward transformational and gender-responsive adaptation, aligned with the APAN theme: Resilience for All: Catalyzing Transformational Adaptation.

The Pre-Conference Multistakeholder Dialogue discussions centred around three key themes, the calls to action and key messages are a summary of the sharings from the participants
