We’re looking for two translation partner organisations to collaborate with in translating the latest issue of ARROW for Change into strategic Asia-Pacific languages.
ABOUT THE BULLETIN ISSUE
ARROW for Change Vol. 23 No. 1 “Intersections: The Politicisation of Religion and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights” tackles the issues and challenges pertaining to the politicisation of religion and ethno-religious nationalism, and the diverse responses globally to counter these. It explores the current landscape of the intersections of the politicisation of religion and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and takes a closer look at Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Morocco, Myanmar, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Tonga, as well as Latin America and the Caribbean. The bulletin can be found here: https://arrow.org.my/publication/afc-religion-srhr/.
ABOUT ARROW FOR CHANGE
The bulletin is a peer-reviewed serial publication produced by ARROW that aims to contribute global-South-oriented, rights-based, and gender analyses of issues related to health, sexuality, and rights, and their intersections with key development issues. Possible partners must be able to justify their interest and expertise on the topic, and why the language they are proposing is strategic. They must also be able to demonstrate capacity to translate from English into their chosen languages, publish electronically and in print, and distribute the publication widely and strategically online and offline. They may also be asked to contribute a new article on the topic of the bulletin, which will undergo review and will be included in the translated bulletin, as well as published as a separate English supplement. Publications must be completed by October 2017. Partners will be expected to provide a distribution and feedback report at the end of the initiative.
The deadline for application is 17 July 2017.
Notice of acceptance of applications will be given by 25 July 2017; only the successful partners will be contacted.
