You know that feeling when you see people crushing it? It just makes you want to level up, right? You can find such peers everywhere—school, work, different parts of the world—everywhere. Connecting with such like-minded individuals leads to new projects, opportunities, and ideas.

One such example was the Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development (APFSD) Youth Forum that took place in Bangkok, Thailand. This forum brought together 549 young leaders from across Asia and the Pacific. I am honoured to have been among them.

The APFSD Youth Forum 2025 was more than just an event; it was a significant opportunity for us, the future leaders. At the forum, we gained international experience, exchanged ideas with young leaders from diverse countries, and discussed innovative projects.

My strong interest in international relations and cooperation found focus in SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, which was central to our discussions. With my peers, we explored ways to enhance international cooperation, discussing national commitments and opportunities.

These discussions, and more importantly, the recommendations, were consolidated and adopted as the APFSD Youth Call to Action 2025, ensuring that the voices of young people are heard and that our ideas contribute to real action.

You might wonder what I gained from this forum. Considering my deep passion for communication and international relations, one of my primary goals at the forum was to connect with new people, partners, friends, and colleagues. And I have to say, I made way more connections than I ever expected, building relationships that will definitely lead to future collaborations.

In short, the APFSD Youth Forum 2025 served as an important platform for building a shared sustainable future.
