The Global Policy Brief: Countering Oppositions and Strengthening Safe Abortion Advocacy in Muslim Majority Countries in South Asia and Africa brief was developed based on publicly available secondary data as well as the national level policy briefs by Naripokkho (Bangladesh), Shirkat Gah (Pakistan) and Moroccan Family Planning Association (AMPF).

The brief has  recommended policy level actions based on ground realities and contextual factors to counter oppositions in safe abortion advocacy arising from religious extremism and other sources. It has been produced with the financial support of AmplifyChange, a funding organisation which supports civil society organisations in Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East to improve sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).
