By ensuring strengthened and collaborative organising of Global South groups, ARROW’s Domain 1 aims to articulate demands that ensure that the developmental agendas of governments, inter-governmental organisations and donors are in tandem with needs, realities and experiences of the Global South with regards to sexual and reproductive health and rights.
"Data will also be one of the key factors in designing advocacy and awareness programmes and policies. This is a priority, and we have plans to conduct some assessments in the coming years."
By combining our strengths of communications and advocacy work, we build perspectives and develop knowledge products from a rights-based, gender-just, intersectional, Global South perspective on emerging issues to capacitate partner organisations to renew and refine advocacy strategies, as well as create strategic, inclusive and meaningful lobby and advocacy actions around SRHR.
ARROW’s Domain 3 focuses on mobilising communities to reinforce positive norms and values around women and young people’s sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and recognise SRHR as a basic human right.
Through our efforts to ensure that young people are leading change from the forefront within their communities, ARROW’s Right Here Right Now 2 (RHRN2) Changemakers Programme has been one of the key highlight initiatives over the past few years, through which ARROW has made consistent efforts around the capacity strengthening of young people to become effective advocates for SRHR social change
ARROW’s Domain 4 work focuses on building feminist movements, SRHR alliances and other social movements to uphold women, young and gender non-binary people’s sexual and reproductive rights through building and strengthening perspectives among CSOs, activists and advocates around the issues of gender, feminism and SRR, and its intersections with other issues that impact universal access to SRR.
Through our efforts to ensure that young people are leading change from the forefront within their communities, ARROW’s Right Here Right Now 2 (RHRN2) Changemakers Programme has been one of the key highlight initiatives over the past few years, through which ARROW has made consistent efforts around the capacity strengthening of young people to become effective advocates for SRHR social change
In 2022, the HR, operations, and finance team continued to focus on the non-programmatic aspects of ARROW and enhance our organisational development through the reviewing of practices on programme planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, accountable and transparent decision-making, and governance mechanisms.
