arrow for change – the impact of health sector reform on reproductive health

In 1994, the International Conference on Population and Development in Cairo agreed on women’s right to reproductive health care. Article 7.6 of its Programme of Action states that “All governments should strive to make accessible through the primary health care system reproductive health to all individuals of appropriate ages as soon as possible and no later than the year 2015”. This reproductive health care should be integrated, gender sensitive and delivered in partnership with NGOs.
