Nur Hazwani Husin obtained her Bachelor’s in Social Science (Political Science) from the University of Science Malaysia. She has experience working with the state and local government, public servants, NGOs and communities, and bringing about positive change through Gender Responsive & Participatory Budgeting and Gender Mainstreaming projects in Penang and Selangor.

Her academic training and years of work experience has helped to hone her interest and skills in working with people at all levels of society, with a special concern for the underprivileged and marginalised. A firm believer in the importance of good governance, human rights, and women’s development issues, she hopes to contribute to the noble aim of promoting gender and social equality in society.
