Menka Goundan is a feminist researcher, human rights activist and development program specialist from Fiji. She is a Senior Program Manager at the Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women. Menka was previously the Executive Director at the Women’s Fund Fiji and the Senior Program Manager at the Fiji Women’s Fund. She is a former Program Advisory Committee member at the Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women. Menka has worked at the Pacific Centre for Peacebuilding and Fiji Women’s Rights Movement in the past and served as secretary to Fiji NGO Coalition on Human Rights. Menka holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce, management and public administration, a postgraduate diploma in development studies from the University of the South Pacific, and a professional certificate in women’s peacebuilding leadership from the Eastern Mennonite University. She is also an alumni of the Pacific Research Colloquium of the Australian National University.
