launch of SAFE, a comprehensive sexuality education app in malaysia

28.05.2014

ARROW has launched SAFE (Sexuality Awareness For Everyone), a new comprehensive sexuality education mobile application (app) on the 28th of May 2014, in conjunction with the International Day of Action for Women’s Health. It will cover aspects on sex and sexuality, contraception, pregnancy, sexual health, and issues of consent and coercion. The app comes equipped with links to useful online resources, as well as a pharmacy/clinic locater.

Currently, the app is developed for Malaysian youth, using country-specific information and perspectives. If the app is well received in this target audience, there is potential to redesign the app to fit a wider global youth population, or to reposition it to fit other country contexts.

SAFE can be downloaded from the Google Playstore https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.amphibiadigital.com.safe and will be coming soon to Apple App Store.

You can go to https://www.facebook.com/safemobileapplication for more details about the app as well as other sources of comprehensive sexuality education.

Any feedback or suggestions for the app is greatly appreciated, and can be directed to Nadia Rajaram at nadia@arrow.org.my
