Role Context:

The role of the Project Manager (PM) is responsible for overall planning and overseeing the project deliverables and planning to ensure that it is completed in a timely manner and within budget.

 

Responsibilities of the Position:

  • · Develop a detailed project plan with timelines to track progress.
  • · Develop scope of work/engagement for project advisory committee members and field-based researchers.
  • · Creating and managing project folder and database and maintaining a comprehensive project documentation.
  • · Coordinate with project advisory committee members to set up meetings; support with developing agenda
    for the meetings, support presentation, and documents, documenting key takeaways and outcomes from the
    meetings.
  • · Managing the field research team, includes supporting the identification and onboarding of field researchers, coordinating with field-based researchers to ensure timely implementation of research through regular check-ins and apprise the team of any research-related issues.
  • · Support the team with the end of project workshop design and implementation.

Requirements of the Position:

  • · This position is open to candidates based in India and knowledge of Indian context is required.
  • · Candidates should be fluent in English and Hindi.
  • · Passion for, commitment to, and strong understanding of sexual and reproductive health and rights issues is required.
  • · Strong monitoring, research and analytical skills.
  • · Excellent planning, coordination and organisational skills.
  • · Has worked in and has knowledge of the socio-cultural-economic-political context of the Asia region.
  • · Ability to develop and deliver trainings related to advocacy and/or research.

 

Experience and Skills:

  • · Eight to twelve years of relevant experience, including research and leading research with a national team.
  • · Degree or equivalent standard of education in development, public health, gender and women’s studies, social science or any related field.
  • · Good ICT skills – word, excel, PowerPoint, online and social media – needed; skills in publishing, video editing and photography a plus.
  • · Creative thinker; enthusiastic, a self-manager, displays initiative, results-oriented, known for quality work, an information seeker, works with integrity.
  • · Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and team player skills, with ability to influence and negotiate; treats people with fairness and respect.
  • · Would be able to commit to staying and growing with us for a minimum of two years.
