WHRAP-China is a 2-year (February 2008- January 2010) partnership and capacity building for enhanced advocacy on women’s SRHR project between ARROW and 3 Chinese partner women’s organisations: the Beijing Women’s Law Studies and Legal Aid Centre, the Shanghai Women’s Health Care Institute and the Heilongjian Women’s Federation. WHRAP-China Partner Organisations Beijing - The Center for Women’s Law Studies and Legal Services (Women’s Legal Aid Center) works on various issues concerning Chinese women at the grassroots, city and national levels. Shanghai - The Shanghai Women’s Health Institute is involved in sexual and reproductive rights in a wide variety of important areas: research, publication and media, on-site maternity education, clinics, support networks, and counseling. Heilongjiang - The Heilongjiang Women’s Federation is a provincial chapter of the All China Women’s Federation whose mandate is to promote and protect Chinese women’s rights. Their work includes research on women’s issues and provision of health and other services to women including free medical examinations and treatments and health education. The Yunnan Health and Development Research Association (YHDRA), previously entitled the Yunnan Reproductive Health Research Association (YRHRA), was founded formally in March 7th 1994, as a non-governmental and non-for-profit research organization (NGO and NPO) based on Yunnan Province of China.
