ARROW recognises the importance of forging genuine and equal partnerships with NGOs that share common goals, objectives and strategies to enable NGOs from the region to present a united and stronger voice in order to influence women’s health and rights in the regional and international arena. These NGOs are also committed to ICPD and Beijing implementation of women’s health and rights, particularly sexual and reproductive health and rights. Most of these partners have either participated or collaborated in ARROW’s activities or projects.

ARROW’s work in Cambodia involves the International Conference of Population and Development (ICPD) + 15 Project.  In this project, ARROW’s partner – the Reproductive Health Association of Cambodia (RHAC) has chosen to focus on contraception, a major issue in Cambodia. The research and advocacy centers on the question of why there is a low rate of contraceptive use among married women, if men are still a barrier in making family planning decisions, as well as knowledge and fear of side effects.

ARROW was also involved in a UNFPA- Ministry of Health short-term project on building capacities of the Gender Mainstreaming Action Group of the Ministry of Health on gender dimensions of health with especial regard to sexual and reproductive health in 2008.

ARROW has also worked in Cambodia to monitor the implementation of the ICPD PoA at both the +5 and the +10 anniversaries.
